
The International Students Scholarships research continues by investigating how median trajectories can be used in various applications. These include trajectory collection visualization, trajectory clustering, classification, and related problems, for which efficient algorithms and implementations should be developed. This will be done in collaboration with researchers in these application areas, whose data will be used.
The International Students Scholarships research will lead to scientific ID in the fields of computational geometry and geographic information knowledge, to be published in conference proceedings and journals. The collective research results will lead to a PhD thesis.
You will have office space at the Department of Information and Computing Sciences and will be supervised by Dr M. van Kreveld.
Requirements
- Master in computer knowledge, or arithmetic with minor in CS.
- Interest in GIScience applications and algorithms development.
- Fluency in English writing.
Situation of employment
You are offered a full-time position for 4 years years. Salary is in the range between € 2,042 and maximum € 2,612 per month.
The International Students Scholarships salary is supplemented with a holiday bonus of 8% and an end-of-year bonus of 8,3% per year. In addition we offer: a pension scheme, a to a degree paid parental leave, flexible employment situation. Situation are based on the Collective Labour Agreement Dutch Universities.
